One dead in serious crash
UPDATE: BRIBIE Island Rd has now re-opened after a crash at Sandstone Point.
One person died after a single vehicle crash this morning.
Initial information suggests a vehicle left the road and hit a tree about 10am.
A separate single vehicle traffic crash occurred a short time later at the same location. It is believed one person sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Traffic was diverted around the crash site and the road was closed but has since been re-opened by police.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
