THRILLS, spills and lightning-fast skills will be on display on Saturday night as the professional cowboys and cowgirls of the National Rodeo Association ride into the Queensland State Equestrian Centre (QSEC) for the first time.

Moreton Bay Regional Council deputy mayor Greg Chippendale said the main arena was the perfect vantage point to witness the action.

"David Mawhinney will be vying to hold onto his number one place as the National Rodeo Association's All-Around Champion Cowboy as he takes on the saddle bronc, steer wrestling and bull riding events," he said.

Tickets at www.QSEC.com.au/rodeo.
