GOOD friends Jess Thomson and Rebecca had a moment to catch up while Rebecca's children played in the park at the Hub.

"We're just catching up, I work just around the corner there,” Jess said.

"It's good, we can catch up for lunch in the park.”

Rebecca's lived around Morayfield for nearly 15 years but Jess has only just moved out of the Moreton Bay region.

"I'm up the Sunshine Coast, I did live down here beforehand,” Jess said.

For Rebecca, the merits of being closed to her loved ones has kept her in the region for this long.

"It's just family and friends,” she said.

Conversely, Jess enjoys living just a ten minute drive from the beach and doesn't mind travelling down the Bruce Highway to work and socialise.

"I love it,” she said.

"It's still nice down here though.

"All our friends are down here so we come down a fair bit.”

But with a baby on the way, Jess said she hasn't quite made her mind up yet about where she will look for her child's education. Rebecca's pretty happy with the region's schools.

"I've got one on the way but I haven't thought about schools yet,” she said.
