BUNDAMBA MP Jo-Ann Miller has been thrown out the Queensland Parliament for the second straight day yesterday after accusing the Speaker of "vilifying" her.
The outspoken Labor MP has now been ejected from the house four times in four months and faces a hearing before the parliamentary ethics committee.
Opponents last night labelled her a "disgrace", but Mrs Miller insisted she would continue to hold the "soap opera" LNP government to account.
Her first ejection came in August when she described Premier Campbell Newman as a "dill" and two weeks ago she was ejected once again for failing to bow to the Deputy Speaker - the position held by Ipswich's LAP MP Ian Berry.
On Tuesday's late sitting of Parliament Ms Miller was "sin-binned" for an hour following a spat with Attorney-General Jarrod Bleijie.
She took offence to comments Mr Bleijie made about the former Labor Government's work with youths.
She had previously been warned for her interjections and was swiftly removed.
Yesterday's incident erupted when Mrs Miller asked how the State Government could govern Queensland "if they couldn't govern themselves"?
Speaker Fiona Simpson ordered Mrs Miller to rephrase the question, prompting the MP to accuse the Speaker of vilifying her.
Before she could then reword the question Mrs Miller was ejected for an hour, after which she returned to the chamber and apologised to Ms Simpson.
But it wasn't enough to prevent her conduct from being referred to the ethics committee for further investigation.
Ipswich West MP Sean Choat watched the scenes and described Mrs Miller's behaviour as "disturbing".
"Her behaviour has been nothing short of a disgrace and as an experienced MP I expect better. We all have passion, I think that's part of the job," he said.
"The member for Bundamba has let down her electorate by seemingly juvenile and disrespectful behaviour.
"I think the member for Bundamba should reflect on today, being ejected again and having now been referred to the Parliamentary ethics committee."
Mrs Miller could not comment on yesterday's events, but defended her disciplinary record.
"I am an MP of conviction and I fight for what's right for my constituency and my fellow Queenslanders and if I must pay a personal price at times, then I will," she said.
"This is part and parcel of holding the LNP and it's out of control, soap opera of a government to account.
"I will continue to work hard to hold the Government to account which has had serious questions of integrity and accountability raised in its handling of a range of issues."
Meanwhile, Ian Berry was yesterday promoted to chairman of the legal affairs committee in place of Dr Alex Douglas, who has been critical of the LNP's decision to build a cruise terminal on the Gold Coast.
