Officer caught drink driving

Sunshine Coast Daily

A POLICE officer has proved that no one is above the law when he was caught drink driving this morning.

The 52-year-old male sergeant from Operations Support Command has been served with a notice to appear after he was discovered with a blood alcohol of 0.122%.

The officer was on leave and driving a private vehicle when he was stopped for a random breath test in Redcliffe about 10.30am today.

The officer will appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on June 20.

The matter will be considered within the Queensland Police Service disciplinary process.
