Pair target bakery with firearm

POLICE are investigating the armed robbery of a bakery at Burpengary this morning in which an employee was threatened with a firearm.

Around 9.20am a man and a woman entered the Buckley Road store before the man produced a firearm.

He demanded the attendant open the till before stealing the cash register and a quantity of food items.

The pair was last seen getting into a nearby white Holden Commodore with false registration plates and fleeing the scene.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his 40s, approximately 180cm tall with a slim build and short dark brown hair.

The woman is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in her 20s, approximately 170cm tall with a heavy build.
