POLICE are chasing a 30-year-old Caboolture man who they suspect stabbed a 41-year-old Caboolture man at an address in George Street, Woodford, at about 1.30am yesterday.

Officer in charge at Woodford police station Sergeant Jason Renwick said the men knew each other and both were known to police.

"We're making enquiries to establish his (the suspect's) current whereabouts and other witnesses are assisting police with their ongoing investigations," he said.

"Police are reluctant to speculate on the motives at this early stage of the investigation."

The 41-year-old Caboolture man was found with non-life threatening wounds to his upper back and shoulder.
He was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition.

Investigations continue.
