Bus crashes at Burpengary
UPDATE: Nine people have been taken to various hospitals with non-critical injuries following a bus crash at Burpengary.
It is believed all up 15 people were involved in the crash at Progress Rd.
Matthew Hannabery Regional Operations Supervisor for Queensland Ambulance Service said passengers were treated for minor injuries.
The bus crashed around 12.15pm. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
It's believed a Kangaroo Bus Lines driver suffered a heart attack and veered off the road into the bush.
The driver has since been airlifted to Royal Brisbane Hospital via Westpac Helicopter.
A purple Ford Fiesta was also involved in the crash.
An older driver and passenger received minor injures.
A large number of police cars, ambulances and tow trucks assisted at the scene trying to get people out of the bus.
The bus has been been removed from bushland and Progress Rd has reopened to motorists.
