Seafood feast for Baycrest Retirement Community

THE Hervey Bay Seafood Festival is shouting a seafood lunch for RSL Care's Baycrest Retirement Community residents on Monday.

RSL Care diversional therapist Margaret Jones said residents would gather for barbecued seafood.

"It does not get more Australian than that," she said.

"I think there will be plenty of requests to throw another shrimp on the barbie.

"Approximately 100kg of seafood all up will be delivered and prepared for Baycrest residents."

Ms Jones said the Hervey Bay Seafood Festival was a great community event for Hervey Bay and residents were thrilled to be involved.

"Hervey Bay is such a caring place and this generous donation is proof of the strong ties Baycrest enjoys with the broader Hervey Bay community."
