Teen hit by car dies in hospital

A TEENAGER has died in hospital after he was allegedly struck by a car at Narangba last night.

Police reports suggest the 17-year-old from North Lakes was seriously injured in the incident and died at the Royal Brisbane Hospital late this afternoon.

Another injured man, an 18-year-old from Kallangur, remains in a critical condition.

It was alleged at 12.45am this morning the young men were struck by a vehicle on Wheaton St.

A 29-year-old Kallangur man has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm.

He appeared in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court this morning.

He has been remanded to appear at the Caboolture Magistates Court on July 16.

Police investigations continue.
