Woman hurt in car attack

IPSWICH police are investigating an assault and attempted robbery in Dinmore on Saturday night.

Around 9.45pm a woman was waiting in her car while her husband entered a 7/11 service station on Brisbane Rd when she was approached by two people.

The female offender opened the passenger side door and attempted to pull the woman from the vehicle.

Police said she then assaulted the woman, demanding she get out of the car.

At the same time the male offender got into the driver's seat and attempted to push the woman out.

After failing to start the vehicle, both offenders found an unlocked car parked at the service station left the scene.

The victim sustained bruising and soreness to her head and lower back.

Police are looking for a woman of Caucasian appearance with a slim build and long brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a white top and dark shorts.

The male offender is of Caucasian appearance with short brown hair, and was wearing a grey and white striped shirt and a dark jacket.

The pair was last seen driving what was believed to be a white Subaru Liberty along Brisbane Rd towards Ipswich.
