Woman charged over Ningi robbery

CABOOLTURE detectives have charged a 28-year-old woman following investigations into the alleged armed robbery of a convenience store at Ningi last week.

It will be alleged around 6.20pm on Wednesday June 20, a woman entered the Bribie Island Road store and threatened a female employee with a knife.

The woman obtained a sum of cash before allegedly striking an employee in the face with her hand and fleeing on foot.

A 28-year-old Ningi woman was charged with one count each of armed robbery, enter with intent and common assault.

She is due to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on August 6.
