TOURNAMENTS, international trips and lots of training - it's already shaping up to be a big year for Caboolture Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido.
Head instructor and owner Carlos Lakerdis said this year was already showing signs of being even bigger and busier after last year's success.
"So far the year has started confidently and there's plenty coming up in the next few months," he said.
"We have an international tournament in New Zealand in March and we also have the Queensland Open at Morayfield Leisure Centre on March 10 and 11.
"We're also looking at a second international trip in July for the Indonesia Open which might include a visit to Thailand as well."
Daniel Delaney achieved international success with silver and bronze in Korea and Malaysia last year, Aimee Lakerdis scored gold and bronze and Beau Brown also came away with gold.
"We're looking to build on last year's success and another big achievement coming up is Michael Delaney, who is only 11, will be going for his first Dan in March," Lakerdis said.
And if you're looking at venturing into the arena of tae kwon do, Lakerdis said they were always happy to welcome new faces, with an offer of the first two weeks for free.
"We have an anti-bullying style of teaching for kids and our confidence classes will be ongoing this year," he said. "It's also a great learning environment for all ages and a good opportunity for someone who might want to lose weight or even get a bit of exercise.
"We train five days a week (Monday-Friday)."
