THE Snakes managed to wrap themselves around their eighth One Day Cup and back-to-back titles against Maroochydore at Grant Rd on Sunday.
This weekend they start down the road to a Sunshine Coast two-day series match against Hinterland Hawks.
It seemed confidence was key as the Swans stepped up to bat first, securing 9/217 - not enough to deter the home side.
Snakes coach Jason Voros, Matt Parkinson and Matt Anderson kept the Swans on their toes throughout the match.
Parkinson managed to snare Maroochydore hitter Michael Goodluck for 83 and it was all downhill from there for the Swans.
The combined efforts of Andy Schablon and Luke Schmelzkopf proved the Snakes were a solid fighting force.
Young-blood Ryan Baker managed a half century for the Snakes and Tom McInerney departed on 70.
Snakes captain Scott Milini and Andy Schablon concluded the match on a high note with 4/221 - securing the win and a well earned rest.
In other cricket news, the Snakes also wrapped up round 12 of the Craiglea Cup on Saturday against Nambour.
Caboolture went in with a solid 96 from the first innings with Nambour trailing behind on 38.
The Snakes managed 3/106 at the finish, despite a lengthy fight from Nambour.
While the Snakes had earned a break after their performance last weekend, it was not over yet.
On Saturday the side will play round 13 of the two-day cup against the Hinterland Hawks at Grant Rd fields.
Good luck Snakes!
