DARLING Downs police seized their single biggest ice haul in two years on Friday night.
The 7pm raid on a Rodger St address netted 17g of ice (valued at $17,000), 500g of cannabis, about $4000 in cash and an assortment of drug paraphernalia.
The raid was one of 12 search warrants executed under Operation Grizzly, headed up by Chinchilla police's Senior Constable Peter McNamara.
Operation Grizzly - a month-long police operation targeting property crime and drug use and distribution in Chinchilla - wrapped up on Sunday.
Sergeant Gerard Brady said the last 10 days had seen police conducting patrols of Chinchilla using unmarked police cars and plain clothes officers.
"Drugs and property crime are usually inextricably linked, hence why the operation targeted both drugs and property crime," Sgt Brady said.
All up, 72 people have been charged with 156 offences as a result of the operation.
Of those offences, 40 were drug-related and 24 property-related.
Police executed 12 search warrants, and conducted more than 1000 RBTs, resulting in 101 traffic tickets.
Sgt Brady said the drug warrants were as a result of information provided by the public and thanked them for their assistance.
