A TODDLER has been taken to Cairns Hospital after he was bitten by a dog in Kuranda.

The three-year-old male sustained head lacerations from the attack, which occurred at a private residence before 5pm today.

The boy was transported in a stable condition with a critical care paramedic in the ambulance.
