Man's arm and tyres cut in altercation at Mackay Harbour

A 50-YEAR-OLD Beaconsfield man was transported by QAS to Mackay Base Hospital with a cut to his arm after an incident at Mackay Harbour overnight.

A QAS spokeswoman said they received the call to attend about 8.15pm last night.

She said the incident occurred on the Breakwater Access Rd.

Police said the man also had two of his car's tyres cut, as he was attacked trying to drive away from the Breakwater.

He said the attacker was known to the victim and nobody has been charged.

"The altercation broke out between two males, as the victim tried to drive away, " he said.

"The 50-year-old was transported to Mackay Base Hospital in a stable condition, he received a couple of stitches."

Investigations are continuing.
