Detectives have laid charges over alleged abduction

DETECTIVES  have charged a man following the alleged abduction of an 18-year-old woman in Caboolture on Tuesday March 31.

Police will alleged that Billy-Anne Huxham was abducted from a residence on Gilbert Street by a man shortly after 6am on Tuesday.

Police were appealing for public assistance to help locate the woman and a vehicle allegedly used in the abduction.

The vehicle was located yesterday around 11.15am on Kift Street, Kallangar.

Around 9.45pm last night, police located the 18-year-old woman safely on Aerodrome Road.

A 32-year-old Maroochydore man has been charged with two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, enter dwelling with intent, assault occasioning bodily harm, torture, deprivation of liberty, dangerous conduct with a weapon, possession of a weapon, evade police, unlicensed driving and breach bail. 

The man is due to appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.
