ONLY Adele could get away with a victory lap of the stage on her very first song.

Just a few weeks after she won hearts all over the world with that singing malfunction, and all those trophies, at the Grammys, the world's biggest pop star nailed her opening Australian concert in front of 65,000 people in Perth last night.

That voice, the one more than 20 million people have fallen in love with on her third record 25, somehow transcended the typically fraught stadium sound curse to ring out loud and true.

The endearing superstar confessed her nerves and a technical glitch did in fact shadow her opening moments.

She revealed she couldn't hear anything for the opening seconds of her entrance song Hello and her sound tech had to fix the problem on the run.

The 28-year-old English songstress even took a moment during the show to shoot T-shirts to her fans from a canon.

According to Bang Showbiz there were $20 notes in attached to the T-shirts, so the lucky fans who received the merchandise could "buy a drink" on her.

Bang also reported that during the show, Adele revealed to the audience she was a little spooked by "a cockroach on the stage and a fly in her tea" and told of how she found it difficult to rehearse because they were being watched on by "f***ing helicopters".

Adele will next perform in Brisbane at the Gabba on Saturday and Sunday, and is expected to fly into the Gold Coast today.

While general tickets are sold out for both shows, Queensland fans can still purchase VIP packages via Ticketmaster.
