THE Brisbane Supreme Court has refused bail to a man who allegedly fatally shot a Tweed Heads man in Brisbane.

The ABC reported Dallin James Kruithof allegedly killed Russell Johnstone, 24, in February this year.

Mr Johnstone was reportedly found on Jarrow St, Tingalpa with gunshot wounds to his head, chest and back.

He died later in hospital.

Mr Kruithof was remanded in custody in September.

At the time, Mr Kruithof's lawyer said the allegations would be defended.

Detective Inspector Owen Elloy told the ABC the arrest followed six months of intense investigations.
