Moreton Bay Regional Council will undertake a bushfire hazard reduction burn tomorrow at Sheep Station Creek Conservation Park, Upper Caboolture, weather permitting.

Residents in Upper Caboolture and Morayfield may notice smoke both during and after the burn.

Residents and businesses should keep away from the burn during and in the days following the event.

Asthmatics and people sensitive to smoke are advised to stay indoors and keep their windows and doors closed.

Motorists in the area should drive to the conditions.

Pets and livestock should be secured, if necessary.

Hazard reduction burn crews work closely with the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services to undertake planned burns.

Council encourages local residents to prepare themselves and their property for the fire season and to keep up-to-date with planned burns in the region by visit council's website: www.moretonbay.qld.gov.au/disaster/bushfire/
