IPSWICH City Bulls coach Norbert Duga said his players were "itching'' to build some momentum following their previous narrow loss to competition leaders Centenary.
"We didn't do anything over the (Easter) break as a group,'' Duga said preparing for Saturday night's match against New Farm United at Sutton Park.
"We haven't played at home for a while since we had a washout so I am hoping for a big crowd to come down and support us.''
Key Bulls player Ronan Geoghegan is likely to sit out the match with a groin injury.
"He will be a big loss,'' Duga said. "Ronan has been tremendous with his experience and composure at the back.''
In better news for the fourth-placed Bulls, goal- scoring speedster Jay Kitching is expected to return if he passes a fitness test on his sore groin.
"I'm confident we can cover for both if need be with everyone else available in the 30 man squad,'' Duga said.
Duga was also pleased to see injury-hampered club stalwart Chris "Denno'' Denman receive some valuable minutes in City's previous game.
"He's been such a big player for us over the last 10 years and with some serious injuries of late he's slowly getting back to some level of fitness,'' Duga said.
"I'd really like to challenge him to continue pushing our young defenders. I am sure he still has a lot to offer the football club.''
Seventh-placed New Farm United have been unbeaten since losing to Centenary in the first round.
"If we are up for the challenge and come with the right attitude that we showed against the league leaders then I think we can get the points,'' the Bulls coach said. "And if we want to be playing finals football at the end of the year then these games are a must win for us.''
In the other Capital League 2 regional match this weekend, fifth-placed Western Spirit play Toowong at Kippen Park on Saturday afternoon.
Spirit has a game in hand, which could propel them into third spot if they win that catch-up encounter and other results go their way.
