Champagne flows at Potter's Boutique Hotel opening

THE Asahi beer and champagne were flowing as 100 of Toowoomba's leading business and tourism identities celebrated the opening of Potter's Boutique Hotel.

Developer John Potter hosted the event on Thursday night which was attended by Mayor Paul Antonio, Toowoomba and Surat Basin Enterprise Chairman Shane Charles, 2016 It's a Bloke Thing chairman Gary Gardner, the Wagner family, country music star Chelsea Basham and more.

Guests enjoyed an alfresco cocktail party in the hotel's Hampton-style restaurant and bar.

The 55-room hotel is the latest hotel to open in the Toowoomba CBD.

The hotel, at 258 Margaret St, is The Potter Group's first development foray.

Peter Stronge and his wife Madeline manage the property.

"We'd like to help promote tourism in Toowoomba. It has a lot going for it," Mr Stronge said.
