WHILE speculation about when (some may say if) the Simpson's will come to an end, the show's Executive Producer has revealed the show will 'most likely' come to an end once they've finished their 30th season.

Al Jean told The Hollywood Reporter the iconic cartoon could finish as soon as season 28, but said that 30 is a 'nice round number'.

It's quite possible that we don't have to go through the whole negotiation for 30.

"I wouldn't be stunned if we stopped at 28 but my bet is on at least 30. But then you'd have to resign them again," he said.

"If you made me pick one, I'd say the likeliest is ending after 30.

"I thought five seasons was good when I got there."

But Mr Jean has been wrong before, so fans will just have to wait and see.
