AUSTRALIAN retailer David Jones' Facebook page has been bombarded with racist and abuse posts after AFL star Adam Goodes was revealed as a brand ambassador.

The company yesterday released a video for its "It's In You' campaign featuring the former Australian of the Year, which was met with remarks about indigenous Australians and dozens of boos.

Other Australian celebrities also featured in the campaign, including model Jessica Gomes, You Am I frontman Tim Rogers, Australian athlete and model Amy Pejkovic,  the Sydney Dance Company's Juliette Barton and actor Alex Russel.

"Well no more shopping at David Jones for me," a Facebook post from Stephen Yuen, said.

Another from Shell Clark read, "Never goung to David Jones this is disgraceful (sic)".

Among the negative messages were positive ones, applauding both the brand and Goodes.

Rachell Haack wrote:  "Congratulations David Jones on an inspirational ambassador. Awesome choice in Adam Goodes."
