E-cigarette on aircraft lands Caboolture man in court

A 37-year-old Caboolture man has been issued with a notice to appear in relation to an incident that occurred on a commercial airline travelling from Sydney to the Sunshine Coast.

Police were called to the airport at Marcoola just before 6.30pm last night following reports of a passenger who was allegedly refusing to comply with directions from airline staff in relation to the use of an e-cigarette.

Police attended the airport, boarded the plane and detained the man.

He was issued with a notice to appear for the offence of smoking on aircraft S255 of the Civil Aviation Regulations, 1988.
