AN elderly Warwick woman was hit by a car at about 4pm this afternoon

The 82-year-old woman was crossing the street on a mobility scooter when an oncoming ford fiesta hatchback collided with her scooter.

The accident occurred at the roundabout on Guy and Grafton Sts.

Police, paramedics and fire crews attended the scene.

The woman was transported to Warwick hospital after the accident with a suspected broken hip.

The matter is still under investigation.
