Female hospitalised, D'Aguilar highway closed after crash

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after she sustained extensive leg injuries in a two-vehicle crash. 

The female patient was taken to Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital in a stable condition while the other three victims escaped unharmed.

The incident occurred around 1:00pm near Raaen Rd - at D'Aguilar just south of Woodford - forcing the closure of the D'Aguilar Highway.  

A spokesperson for Queensland Police said one lane is due to open again shortly.   Emergency services are still on the scene and the Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.   

A spokesperson for Queensland Fire and Emergency said there was no entrapments.
