Ferny Hill convenience store robbed with a pat on the back

POLICE are investigating the robbery of a convenience store at Ferny Hills last night.

Around 7.45pm a man entered the Patricks Road store before confronting a female employee at the back of the store and directing her to hand over cash from the till.

The staff member complied and the man patted her on the back before fleeing the store with a sum of cash.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The man is described as being Caucasian in appearance, about 183cm tall with a slim build.

Investigations are continuing.
