Fight between two men ends with serious head injuries

A MAN has been taken to hospital with head injuries following an incident at Fortitude Valley early this morning.

It will be alleged around 4.45am two men became involved in an altercation on Brunswick Street near Wickham Street.

One man then allegedly struck the other causing the second man to fall to the ground unconscious.

The man, a 25-year-old from Regents Park, was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious injuries.

A 23-year-old Norman Park man has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday (September 28).
