Four-year-old's song for cancer-stricken mum goes viral

A VIDEO of a four-year-old girl singing a song of strength for her cancer-stricken mother is going global.

The clip shows Dianna Stanchak at a party, with daughter McKenna singing passionately into a mic to inspire her mum to keep up her battle against the Stage Four Hodgkin Lymphoma doctors discovered on Christmas Eve 2013.

 Talk show legend Ellen DeGeneres shone a light on the video on her own Facebook page, which has now been liked more than 511,000 times and shared 430,000 times.

"I love this so much, "DeGeneres wrote.

"A 4-year-old singing to inspire her mother who's fighting cancer."

Dianna's mother Dee Silvernail explained the family's plight in the comments.

"Ellen DeGeneres, I am the Mother and Grandmother of these precious girls," she said.

"I have not seen a smile on my Daughters face in almost two years.

"She was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma "specialty" a very rare form on Christmas Eve 2013.

"McKenna sings this song to her Mommy EVERYDAY!

"She is the main reason she fights to live and beat this battle.

"Thank you for sharing her video, she finds comfort in the support from all who have left loving messages. God Bless you all."
