Girl, 14, breaks free after being grabbed by man in car

A TEENAGE girl has managed to break free and flee after being grabbed by a man in a passing car, police have said.

In a statement, Queensland Police Media say the 14-year-old girl was walking at Sippy Downs just before 8pm Sunday when a dirty, black Suzuki four-wheel drive pulled up beside her.

A man in the back seat grabbed the girl by the arm and started trying to pull her towards the car, but the girl managed to break free and run, escaping without injury.

Police said the man who tried to grab the girl was wearing a black hooded jumper. There were two other men also in the car - the driver was wearing a white shirt and jeans and the second passenger, also in the back seat, had black hair.

The Suzuki may have a dent in its front passenger door.

Anyone with information should phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000
