This little pig at a Meringandan West property was busted eating marijuana plants, and refused to give up his stash to police.

HE MAY not be flying but this little piggy is as high as a kite.

The feral pig was observed by police eating leafy green material during a search of a property at Meringdan West on Wednesday.

During their search, police found a 1.6m high cannabis plant and 140.7grams of marijuana.

But the pig wouldn't give up his stash, with police unable to seize the two plants he was eating.

A 44-year-old man was charged with  possession and production of marijuana.

He will appear in Oakey Magistrates Court on October 21.

Police enquiries are being made in relation to any high flying pigs seen in the area.

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.
