THE backpacker rescued from a 1600km four-day road trip to hell, allegedly repeatedly raped, assaulted and threatened with death if she cried out for help has had her suffering compounded by a separate revenge-porn attack.

Police say her innocent photos from an open Facebook site were stolen and posted on a Cairns escort site offering her for extreme sex.

Police are looking to charge a second unrelated person for online crimes after the woman's non-sexualised images were copied from her open Facebook site and used in ads that described her as a "Swedish backpacker", open to all kinds of sex and inviting clients to be violent towards her.

"I've spoken to friends and witnesses who corroborate her version she wasn't doing that and it was quite likely another person who had access to those pictures," senior constable Dave Harper told News Corp Australia.

The 22-year-old woman is currently recovering in Brisbane after undergoing surgery for facial fractures.
