WHAT does an NRL player drive if he's got four kids in tow?

For the Canterbury Bulldogs' Greg Eastwood, Ferraris and Lamborghinis aren't quite practical enough, so the big-tackling back-rower with a big family obviously needs a big car. Or a minibus.

The New Zealand World Cup winner takes us through his motoring life so far:

What was your first car?

It was a 2000 Mazda 323. It was a pretty ordinary car and my worst memory of it was when it broke down on the way to my first game for the reserve grade at Brisbane Broncos.

What are you driving now?

As I've got four kids I'm in a Kia Carnival (eight-seat people mover). It's nice and roomy, the eight seats always come in handy and it still looks pretty flash. I've also got a Range Rover Sport for me and the wife to get around in at times.

PRACTICAL MAN: You could fit half the Bulldogs' squad in there, but Kia's Carnival also works as a family cruiser

What cars did your family have while you were growing up?

Falcons. Lots of Ford Falcons! Family wagons mainly, and a Honda Civic too.

What is your greatest frustration on the road?

In Sydney it's the traffic. Trying to get home after a day's training and the traffic is always bad.

Do you have any preferred driving music?

Sometimes R&B, but I mainly listen to 1065 radio (KIIS 1065 in Sydney) with Kyle and Jackie O.

If you were to pick anyone in the world to go on a road trip, who would it be and why?

Some of my teammates, like Frank Pritchard and Sam Kasiano. Last year we all car pooled on the way to training and it was good fun, so I'm sure they'd be good on a long road trip.

What would be your dream car if money were no object?

A Lamborghini Diablo (V12 supercar built between 1990 and 2001).

Ever since I first saw one I've wanted one and that is unlikely to change. I love its looks, its sound, everything.
