Lara Bingle loves motherhood

BANG Showbiz

Lara Bingle thinks motherhood is the "best thing in the world".

The 28-year-old model and husband Sam Worthington welcomed son Rocket into the world in March and she is relishing the "challenge" of being a parent every day.

She said: "It's definitely something new. It's the best thing in the world. It's very challenging, and I'm learning something new every day which is awesome."

And Lara credits her family unit for helping her create a "beautiful little sanctuary".

Speaking to the Daily Mail Australia about her involvement with Westfield's Today, I Am Campaign, she said: "This campaign really resonated with me with the empowering part of it.

"That line (Today, I Am) is like who you are today and I think it's really important to relish in that.

"I've always been a happy girl but I guess I'm a mother and a wife and I have a beautiful little sanctuary I would call it."

While she is enjoying motherhood, Lara admitted she is still trying to find a balance between work and family life and has a lot of "respect" for those who achieve it.

She said: "I'm very new to this. I have a lot of respect for women who also have full careers and have three or four children and can balance it. I strive to find the balance and I'm just learning."
