Police seek information after fatal crash at Baryulgil

UPDATE, 1.45pm: A 54-YEAR-old Baryulgil man was the victim of a fatal crash this morning.

The driver and only occupant of the Holden ute died at the scene.

A crime scene has been established at the site and investigations into the incident are continuing.

Police have urged anyone with information to come forward.

UPDATE, 10.40am: POLICEhave confirmed a man has died in a single car crash at Baryulgil.

Emergency services were called to the fatal crash on Lionsville Rd at 8am, but police believe the crash happened in  the early hours of the morning. 

EARLIER: UNCONFIRMED reports have come in a man has died in a car crash near Baryulgil in early hours of the morning.

It is believed a man in his 50s driving a while Holden ute, has crashed into a tree off Lionsville Rd at about 1am near the Clarence River bridge.

Police have not confirmed the accident has occurred, but a smash repair truck and SES workers have been despatched to the scene.
