Man to face court over cannabis bust at Woolgoolga

A MAN will face court today after cannabis worth $400,000 was seized from a property at Woolgoolga.

Officers attached to Coffs Clarence Local Area Command attended a home in Woolgoolga yesterday about 1.15pm. 

Police said during a search of the property police, with assistance from a Drug Detection Dog, located almost 16kg of cannabis with an estimated potential street value of $400,000.

Officers also located and seized methadone and cash from the home.

All items seized will now undergo further forensic examination.

A 57-year-old man was arrested at the property and taken to Coffs Harbour Police Station, where he was charged with possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug, possess prescribed restricted substance and dealing with proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail and is due to appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court today.
