Man in his 70s allegedly assaulted at Redcliffe

A crime scene has been established on the street in front of Redcliffe Headspace following an incident on Wednesday afternoon.

Police were called to the location on the corner of Portwood St and Oxley Ave at 1:30pm where a man in his 70's had been assaulted.

Police say the alleged suspects fled the scene.

Queensland Ambulance Service reported the man had a laceration to the back of the head and was transported to the Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are investigating.
