Man with head injury after being hit by truck

A PEDESTRIAN is being treated for a head injury after reportedly falling in the path of a truck this morning.

Police say the 19-year-old male pedestrian was standing near the truck weigh pad off the east-bound lanes of the Warrego Highway at Dinmore, when he lost balance and collided with a slow-moving truck that had exited the highway.

An ambulance spokeswoman says the man sustained a minor head injury and is conscious and alert.

He has been taken to Ipswich Hospital in a stable condition.
