WATCH: Vehicle failed to give way to motorbike, police say

Update 10am:

A WOMAN has been taken to the Gladstone Hospital with suspected neck injuries, after being involved in a motorbike and car accident today.

Gladstone Police officer sgnt Kieran Barton said there was very little damage to the vehicle involved.

"It appears that the vehicle has failed to give way to the motorcycle. 

"The motorcycle collided with car and the female rider of the motorbike has sustained some injuries," he said.

The driver of the Hyundai vehicle was shaken up and shocked following the accident.

She was an elderly woman and her husband was a passenger in the car.


GLADSTONE Police are at the scene of a motorbike and car accident on Oaka Lane.

They were called to the crash at around 9.15am this morning.

It is believed that two people were involved in the accident.

One person has sustained no injuries, while another is being put onto a spinal board.

The car involved is a Hyundai SUV.

The road is currently closed while the police continue their investigations.
