Motorcycle rider dead after colliding with towed boat

A MOTORCYCLE travelling on Old Cleveland Road collided with a boat that was being towed by a vehicle around 6.20pm last night.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 40-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

No one else was injured as a result of the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating and are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 3364 3311 or via Crime Stoppers.
