Motorists free truck driver after Bruce Highway crash

Traffic is flowing normally again.

Both lanes are now back open on the Bruce Highway northbound following an earlier crash.

Traffic is still congested and motorists can expect delays.

A POLICE media spokesman has said passing motorists worked to free the driver of a truck from the vehicle after it ran off the Bruce Highway.

Police and paramedics were called to the Bruce Highway northbound, just south of exit 179 at Bells Creek, at 12pm after reports of a two vehicle crash.

They arrived to find a truck had run off the road and into the median strip.

Four people were assessed on the scene by QAS and one was transported to Caboolture Hospital with a foot injury.

The right lane of the Bruce Highway northbound remains closed and motorists are warned to expect long delays.
