Turnbull's wife doesn't join directors in visit to Gladstone

THE new Prime Minister's wife, Lucy Hughes Turnbull, is a non-executive deputy chair of the company that recently purchased Transit Systems Marine. 

The directors of the company, SeaLink Travel Group visited Gladstone last week to inspect the recently acquired ferry service, but the new Prime Minister's wife Lucy Hughes Turnbull didn't join them.

Mrs Hughes Turnbull is a non-executive deputy chair of SeaLink that acquired the ferry services for $125 million on September 18.

She is also a director of private investment company Turnbull and Partners Pty Ltd, chairman of biotechnology company Prima Biomed Limited.

She chairs the Committee for Sydney and was the first female Lord Mayor of the City of Sydney from 2003-2004.
