One dead, another critical in horror Bruce Hwy crash

ONE man is dead and another is in a critical condition after a van collided with a truck on the Bruce Highway overnight.

The passenger was pronounced dead when emergency services arrived on the scene, south of Home Hill in north Queensland.

The driver was rushed to Ayr Hospital. He was also being treated for shock.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
