WHEN two thugs bashed and robbed a fellow train passenger, they forgot the fact that the police would be able to get a good look at their mugs with the click of a button.
Police are now calling for the public's help in locating the two men in relation to the attack on an Ipswich train on Monday.
The victim, an 18-year-old man, was travelling from Rosewood to Ipswich about 12.40pm, when he was confronted by the two as they approached the Thomas St station at Sadliers Crossing.
He was punched in the face and fell to the floor, with the offenders taking his wallet.
The victim sustained facial injuries and was treated at Ipswich Hospital.
Ipswich detectives have released CCTV stills of the two men they wish to speak to, in the hope they will be identified.
It is believed both the men boarded the train at Rosewood. Both are described as 18-23 years old and about 175cm tall.
One man was wearing a pink singlet, khaki shorts, black and white shoes, a black and white baseball cap and was carrying a yellow skate board. The other was wearing a white t-shirt, long grey pants and thongs.
Anyone who may recognise the men depicted in the CCTV images or who has any information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
