Police respond to incident in North Mackay

UPDATE 10.40pm:

QUEENSLAND Police has confirmed that the incident at North Mackay Monday evening was self harm.

A spokeswoman said that police would make no further comment.


Five police units are on Evans Ave, in North Mackay, responding to reports of a stabbing.

There are also two ambulances at the scene, as well as officers from the CIB.

Police are currently outside a private residence questioning some people.

The reported incident is believed to have occurred about 9.30pm.
