DETECTIVES have allegedly uncovered dangerous drugs, cash and gold after intercepting a vehicle at Morayfield last night.
Just before midnight, police had intercepted a vehicle containing two women on Shangrila Street when it allegedly drove away, injuring a male officer's arm.
Police located the vehicle on Morayfield Road and commenced a search for the two female occupants utilising a police dog unit.
Police located and arrested both women a short time later. A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered a large quantity of the drug Ice, a significant amount of cash and a quantity of gold.
A 27-year-old Southport woman has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, serious assault police, possession of a dangerous drug, possessing property obtained from supplying, possessing property suspected of having been used in connection with a drug offence, obstruct police and possess a thing used in the commission of a crime.
A 21-year-old Toowoomba woman has been charged with one count each of possessing a dangerous drug, possessing property obtained from supplying, possessing property suspected of having been used in the commission of an offence, possess thing used in the commission of a crime and obstruct police.
Both women are expected to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court today.
The officer received minor injuries as a result of the incident.
