UPDATE: Detective Inspector Scott Moon of the Rockhampton CIB confirmed two men were taken into police custody following dramatic scenes on Upper Dawson Rd this afternoon. 

Initial reports suggest one of the men made threats with a weapon at Hook St, before he was arrested at an Upper Dawson Rd address. 

EARLIER: ROCKHAMPTON'S Upper Dawson Rd is currently swarming with police.

Around 10 police officers are surrounding a house near Wiseman St on Upper Dawson Rd and have arrested a man who is currently laying face down on the ground.

Police are still surrounding the house.

According to reports from the scene there are a number of people in the area.
