Prison escapee facing Caboolture Magistrates Court

A WOMAN who escaped from a Gold Coast hinterland prison has been found and is expected to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today.  

Police have charged a woman after she allegedly escaped from a correctional centre in Numinbah Valley on September 10.  

It will be alleged around 11pm a head count was conducted by correctional officers and two women aged 21 and 24 were unaccounted for.  

At 2.20pm yesterday a woman was located at a residence in Moorina and arrested by police.  

A 21-year-old Holland Park woman has been charged with one count of escape lawful custody.
